Neil is the Communications Manager at Youth Moves, who started with us in January 2020.

His role is to oversee all external and internal media of the organisation, and build the brand of the charity across the city and beyond.

He is a journalist who has worked for BBC Radio 4, The Daily Telegraph, Bristol Post, Bristol Cable, and BBC Radio Bristol. His role with Youth Moves is part time, and he continues to work in the media.

A born and bred Bristolian, he is a former community development manager, with a specialism in working in deprivation areas across the region. His journalism reflects that, and he has won several awards for his work in covering minority communities.

He loves to travel, do hill walking, is a big music fan, and is addicted to watching documentaries.

Despite his dodgy knees today, he is a former England schoolboy international footballer who was once on the books of Premier League club Southampton FC.

With three young children, and a wife from Brazil, his ambition is one day is to retire and live there permanently, by a beach in Bahia.
