Ungela started work at Youth Moves in October 2020, and works on the Targeted Youth Services project and mentoring services delivering targeted 1-1 and group work.

She has had a varied working background, working in sexual health services delivering sex and relationships education, period poverty projects; child criminal and sexual exploitation service – county lines and trafficking; NCS summer programmes; and resettlement work in prisons.

For Ungela, youth work is so underrated. She feels having a safe, consistent and present adult in a young person’s life, who listens with no judgement and truly believes in them, is the essential support needed to push that young person to achieve their goals, ambitions and build resilience.

When not working, she spends her time reading, shopping, and travelling.
