He's still given up his time and thinking of other young people who are going through similar issues

Elliott came away with the Super Hero Award at the Bristol Young Heroes awards, the prestigious annual event that celebrates the achievements and success of young people in the city, on December 16th 2021.

Here is why he was nominated in the words of the person who put him forward, Head of Youth Delivery at Youth Moves, Denise Clifford.

'Elliott is really positive, he is really engaging, he inspires other young people.

He's a young man that has been through so much, emotional, personal, physical, and mental struggles in his life so far. And even through that he's still given up his time and thinking of other young people who are going through similar issues and trying to work out ways of how he can support them.

He comes along to volunteer at Youth Moves every week, and to see him come in and be so positive and still wanting to help other people, doesn't just inspire me as a youth worker but I think he inspires a lot of young people.

I would just like to end with saying to Elliott specifically, that we think you are a super hero and what ever happens tonight you are winner and good luck and be proud.'

But win he did! Congratulations Elliott from all of us at Youth Moves. Well deserved.
